This December all kids (big and small) will have an opportunity to experience Santa’s
big sleigh as he brings it to downtown Collingwood on Saturday December 3, 10 and
17. It is with great pleasure that we announce that Santa will be available for all to give
him their wish lists in front of the town hall from 12:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. on the Saturdays
leading up to his big night. Santa has also agreed to let all who wish to climb into his
big sleigh, so you too will be able to experience Santa’s sleigh.
On Saturday December 17th, as a special treat, you won’t want to miss Santa’s reindeer
in training. They will be joining Santa at town hall. We are never sure who will be joining
Santa; maybe you’ll be able to tell if they are decedents of Blitzen, Dasher or Donner.
The reindeer trainers will be on hand to answer all your reindeer questions.
After you have given your wish list to Santa, why not take the opportunity to explore
some of the sixty plus boutique shops that downtown Collingwood has to offer. Bursting
with holiday decor and gift ideas, you never know what you will find, even for all those
hard to buy for on your list. Then reward yourself with something to please your palette
from one of the more than thirty restaurants. This holiday season, come downtown, and
come home for the holidays.
P.S. …. Mark December 27 to 31 on your calendar to come downtown and check out
the Ice Sculpture Festival. The downtown core will be filled with ice carvings
celebrating winter sports. Experience carving demonstrations, interactive sculptures,
wagon rides tours; plus a full day of activities for the family on New Year’s Eve day.
